Policies




The vacation year at Twin Anchors is broken up into three fantastic seasons - Low, Mid and Peak. All are colour coded on our 2007 calendars. To have your pick of dates and houseboat models, we recommend booking 9 - 12 months in advance as some popular dates sell out a year in advance. Remember, we will hold a houseboat reservation for up to 10 days without obligation!

AGE RESTRICTIONS

The person making the reservation and the two Captains must be at least 19 years of age with valid driver¹s licences.

DEPOSIT

All you require is a deposit of $500 to confirm your reservation. Your deposit is applied to the charter fee and is required 10 days after making your reservation. Your deposit can be paid over the phone by approved credit card or you may mail a money order.

PAYMENT OF CHARTER

Option A: Pay balance (less deposit) 120 days prior to departure and receive a 5% discount off your charter fee.
Option B: Pay balance (less deposit) in 4 equal monthly installments starting 120 days prior to departure. (120 days/ 90 days/ 60 days/ 30 days).



CANCELLATION

€ A $100 fee will be charged if you cancel or change your reservation one to six days after booking.
€ Your deposit of $500 will be retained if you cancel or change a reservation 6 days after booking and at least 119 days before departure.
€ Full charter fee (PAYMENT OPTIONS A & B) will be retained if you cancel your reservation less than 120 days prior to departure.

INSURANCE BUY-DOWN

A $22/day insurance buy-down will reduce the amount of security deposit required from $8,000 to $4,000 on our CruiseCraft V model; $7,000 to $3,500 on our CruiseCraft IV model; $6,000 to $3,000 on our CruiseCraft III model; and from $4,000 to $2,500 on CruiseCraft II and I models. If the insurance buy-down is not purchased, we require the applicable security deposit to be placed on a credit card.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit of $5000/$2000 is required for CruiseCraft III/IV; $3500/$1500 for CruiseCraft II/I. This deposit will be applied to any outstanding charges including lost or damaged items, late returns, excessively unclean boats, or  damage resulting from negligent operation or activity on the houseboat. Deposit must be placed on the Captain¹s credit card.

CASH OR PERSONAL CHEQUES NOT ACCEPTED!

PETS

Please inquire about our pet policy with our reservations staff.

BONUS SERVICES

Propane, porter service, boat launch, parking and park permits are included in the charter fee.

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

Fuel and septic pump-out are the only additional expenses and need not be paid until the end of a charter.
